Our new Horizons imprint contains rewarding arrangements for every string instrument as well as for diverse chamber-music groupings, plus some amazing repertoire discoveries for piano and strings.

 

 

What is Horizons? Horizons offers discoveries and exciting additions to the repertoire, arrangements of well known works for alternative scorings, orchestral studies, and pedagogically oriented editions.

 

Horizons upholds the same standards of quality that have distinguished Henle editions for more than 75 years: reliable musical texts based on comprehensive research and meticulous preparation, presented in editions designed and produced with the needs of performers in mind.

 

Horizons launches with editions for piano and for strings, as well as chamber music for strings with and without piano. Orchestral studies for all string instruments are planned for 2027. Editions for all classical instruments, both solo and ensemble, will follow.

 

Among the first editions are Johann Nepomuk Hummel’s Piano Sonata in F-sharp minor, Op. 81, Timothy Ridout’s arrangement of Schumann’s Dichterliebe for viola and piano, and Shai Wosner’s brilliant arrangement of Beethoven’s Pastoral Symphony for piano trio. In addition to those already mentioned, other outstanding musicians also involved in Horizons, include Raphaela Gromes, Jean Guihen Queyras, Alexandre Tharaud, Frank Peter Zimmermann, and Tabea Zimmermann.
